During the production of pre-galvanized steel tubes, high-frequency induction welding (ERW) can burn off the zinc coating along the seam. To protect this area from premature rusting, our lines feature an inline, high-purity zinc wire arc spraying system.
This system automatically applies a protective zinc layer over the outer weld seam immediately after welding and cooling. This maintains continuous galvanic protection across the tube's entire surface, preventing localized rusting and ensuring performance in humid conditions.
Additionally, we perform continuous eddy current testing on the weld seam to verify structural integrity and ensure the tubes meet safety codes for building applications.
