PPGI uses a pure zinc galvanized protective layer, whereas PPGL utilizes a Galvalume alloy layer (typically 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon). In marine or high-salinity coastal environments, PPGL offers superior barrier protection against corrosion due to the stable aluminum oxide layer. However, PPGI provides better galvanic edge protection when cut or drilled. We provide two primary galvanized finishes: pre-galvanization and hot-dip galvanization.
