Advanced Galvanizing Technology: Chemical and Mechanical Integrity

The long-term performance of galvanized steel is determined by the metallurgical bond formed between the zinc coating and the underlying steel. During our hot-dip galvanizing process, which complies with ASTM A53 and EN 10240, clean steel components are submerged in a bath of molten zinc at temperatures around 450°C (840°F).

This submersion triggers a reaction that forms iron-zinc alloy layers, topped by a clean zinc outer shell. These intermetallic layers are harder than the base steel itself, providing excellent resistance to abrasion and mechanical wear. For pre-galvanized profiles, steel strips are coated in a continuous process before forming, securing a uniform coating thickness that is ideal for precision framing and light structural designs.
