Carbon Steel Grading (Q235 vs Q345)

The distinction between Q235 (yield strength ≥ 235 MPa) and Q345 (yield strength ≥ 345 MPa) determines their load-bearing suitability. Q235, equivalent to ASTM A36 or S235JR, provides superior weldability and ductility, making it ideal for scaffolding tubes, agricultural greenhouse structures, and standard structural components. Q345, equivalent to S355JR or ASTM A572, has a higher yield strength due to trace additions of manganese, making it suitable for high-stress civil engineering and heavy machinery frames.

Anti-Corrosion Coatings & Galvanization

Unprotected carbon steel is vulnerable to oxidation. Our facility utilizes both pre-galvanization and hot-dip galvanization processes. Pre-galvanization processes cold-rolled steel coils through a continuous zinc bath, yielding a uniform and clean finish with typical coatings of 40-120 g/m² - perfect for indoor structural use. Hot-dip galvanization subjects fully formed steel sections to molten zinc at ~450°C, producing a thick, metallurgical-bonded zinc-iron alloy layer (often exceeding 300-500 g/m²) that provides decades of anti-corrosion protection in harsh coastal and industrial environments.
